Record number of visitors at Danish Security Fair
The last guest has gone home and the exhibition stands have been packed up – Danish Security Fair 2025 is over, and now the project team from MESSE C looks back on some good and busy days. Denmark's largest security fair once again broke records in both the number of visitors and exhibitors.
The large exhibition halls of MESSE C in Fredericia were set up on August 27-28 for the Danish Security Fair, Denmark's largest trade fair for companies and players within security, and visitors who work with or have an interest in security. The fair has been held every other year since 2017 in close collaboration with SikkerhedsBranchen, the industry organization for security and safety.
It is clear that interest in safety and security is increasing in recent years. The visitor record from 2023 was surpassed by over 20%, so 2345 visitors from the industry visited the fair this year. And the many guests were able to visit more than 140 stands at the fair. Also a new record.
"The increasing number of visitors and exhibitors shows that the Security industry is a growing industry," says project manager for Danish Security Fair, Kim Skovby Klindt, and continues: "The threat landscape is constantly changing, and both on the major international fronts and in the local area, there is an increased focus on security and increased demands on companies and authorities. This means that Danish Security Fair is becoming relevant to more and more people."
Among the major topics at the fair this year were the two EU directives NIS2 and CER, both of which come into force this year. The two directives aim to tighten the level of security in sectors that perform important functions in society and to increase the security of the critical infrastructure that keeps the country running.
But other topics also played a large role in the many conversations around the corridors. Video surveillance, robots, drones and not least AI, which has undergone enormous development in recent years.
Satisfied exhibitors
One of the participating exhibitors was Securitas, and their Key Account Manager, Eddie Dieckmann Christoffersen, is enthusiastic about the fair and the benefits they get from participating.
"It's a great, great experience to be at the fair. You meet all branches of the industry, and we had conversations with both existing and new customers, so we definitely got what we were looking for," says Eddie Dieckmann Christoffersen enthusiastically. "I've just uploaded a video from the fair on our LinkedIn profile, and I'll end by saying: "See you next time!", because there's no doubt that we're back in place for the Danish Security Fair."
Stage presentation on the future of the security industry
In addition to meeting the exhibitors at the many stands, guests could also experience various presentations and debates from three different stages.
Among the stage presentations that attracted many curious spectators were, for example, Jacob Herbst, head of the government's Cybersecurity Council, Kasper Skov-Mikkelsen, director of the Security Industry, and not least the large live video event, where visitors could experience six video producers who together showed the latest developments in video surveillance.
“It is important that the fair can present the latest trends and ideas about what the future of the industry looks like”, says Kim Skovby Klindt. “And that is why we always try to get people on stage who have looked into the crystal ball and who know the opportunities and challenges that the security industry can expect in the coming year”, concludes the project manager.
After this year's success, it doesn't take a crystal ball to predict that the Danish Security Fair will return, and Messe C is looking forward to setting the stage for another few good days with the security industry.
