Guided tour about video surveillance was a great success

Danish Security Fair

This year, Danish Security Fair had arranged a guided tour about video surveillance, where interested parties could register for free and be guided around to various exhibitors who made visitors more knowledgeable about developments in the field.

The tour included visits to six different companies that talked about what they had to offer in video surveillance. There were visits to AXIS, Dahua, HIKvision, i-PRO, Milestone and Bosch, who in 5-10 minutes gave the participants an engaging introduction to their products and the specific functions that their video surveillance has.

One of those registered for the guided tour was Jens Møller, a senior specialist at Ørsted. He had joined the tour around the exhibition hall because he was curious about what the different companies had to offer.

“I gained new knowledge about standards that can be requested to ensure that there are no backdoors in the equipment,” says Jens Møller.

New knowledge about new technologies

It also became clear to Jens Møller and the other tour participants that AI has moved into the cameras.

Because AI is here to stay, and it can, among other things, relieve the servers in digital video surveillance, since much data processing takes place directly in the camera. The fact that AI has become such an integrated part of the surveillance devices was exciting for Jens Møller:

“On many systems, you can ask to see recordings of specific incidents, for example where there is a FIAT 500 in the recording or a man in a red jacket.”

After the tour, there was an opportunity to visit the exhibitors again and have a chat with them. Jens Møller did this:

“I visited Milestone again to get more information about the integration of other technologies that were not shown at the fair, and I am still in dialogue with them about it,” concludes Jens Møller.

More guided tours on the way

“It’s great when we can help give our visitors the knowledge they are looking for,” says Kim Skovby Klindt, project manager at Danish Security Fair. “That’s exactly what’s the strength of a trade fair like ours. Here we have the entire industry gathered in one place, so it’s possible to get more perspectives and solutions to the challenges you bring.”

Therefore, several guided tours on current security topics will also be conducted when the next Danish Security Fair is held on August 27-29, 2027. So interested fair visitors have the opportunity to take home useful knowledge and good leads from Denmark's trade fair for the entire security industry.
